Since Stephen Miller founded it in 1988, Top Cut Lawn Services has been a cornerstone of the Southern Florida landscaping industry.
What began as a small, local operation has grown into one of Palm Beach County’s premier lawn and landscape companies over the past three and a half decades.
Stephen Miller, a lifelong Florida resident with a passion for horticulture, started Top Cut Lawn Services with just a pickup truck, a few lawnmowers, and a vision to provide top-quality landscaping services to his community.
Miller’s dedication to excellence and attention to detail quickly earned the company a reputation for reliability and exceptional results.
In the early years, Miller focused on building relationships with residential clients, offering personalized service that larger companies couldn’t match. As word of Top Cut’s quality work spread, the business expanded to serve more residential communities throughout Palm Beach County.

In the mid-1990s, Top Cut Lawn Services embarked on a significant phase of growth, expanding its operations to include larger properties. This strategic shift allowed the company to undertake more extensive landscaping projects for commercial clients and expansive residential communities.
By leveraging the expertise and reputation built through its work with smaller residential properties, Top Cut successfully adapted its services to meet the unique demands of these larger-scale operations. This expansion broadened the company’s client base and solidified its position as a versatile and capable landscaping service provider in Southern Florida.
In 2002, Top Cut Lawn Services achieved a significant milestone by signing its first large homeowners association contract with Bellagio HOA. This pivotal agreement marked a turning point for the company, opening doors to servicing many more extensive Homeowners Association (HOA) properties throughout Southern Florida.
The successful partnership with Bellagio HOA demonstrated Top Cut’s ability to manage and maintain larger, more complex landscapes, setting the stage for rapid growth in the HOA sector and solidifying the company’s reputation as a trusted landscaping provider for residential communities across the region.

Sperber Landscape Company #8 on the 2022 Landscape Management Top 150, grows with the addition of Top Cut Lawn Services.

Top Cut has undergone its most dramatic growth in recent years, with its workforce more than doubling since the mid-2010s. This remarkable expansion has enabled the company to take on larger projects and serve more communities while maintaining its commitment to quality service across Southern Florida.
In June 2024, Top Cut Lawn Services marked a significant milestone in its growth trajectory by expanding to a second location in Lake Worth. This strategic expansion allowed the company to better serve its growing client base in Palm Beach County, enhancing its operational efficiency and response times. The new Lake Worth facility increased Top Cut’s service capacity and created additional employment opportunities in the local community, further solidifying the company’s commitment to the region it has served for over three decades.
